The name Blackberry has become synonymous with a mobile phone and internet device that is used all over the world by those in business, in order to ensure fast and reliable communication between colleagues.

Essentially, this is what Blackberry is, however, although it may have started its life a few years ago being only used among business people, this is definitely not the case anymore. Over the last year or so, Blackberry has successfully moved its image away from being simply for use in the business world. A very large number of people, millions across the world in fact, now use the Blackberry for their own personal, every day use. This is why the Blackberry Curve has done so well in recent years: as well as being highly functional and fast for business use and deadline meeting, it is simple and easy enough to use that people across the world are simply using it as a normal, albeit very advanced and clever, mobile phone. Blackberry began life as a chain of mobile phones that were developed in Canada.

This line of phones quickly caught on in the business world, and this was how Blackberry became so a huge, multi-national success story. All this occurred in the early years of the new millennium, and it is a testament of the power of positive advertising and good production that Blackberry is now the second most popular Smartphone provider in the whole world. Even in the present economic climate, 20% of all Smartphones that are on the market and are owned are made by Blackberry and carry this name. The initial success of Blackberry was that it focused on using email from a mobile phone, which was not done by a large number of mobile communications providers in the early 2000s. This new idea took off, and this was how Blackberry gained its current huge success.

IPhone is definitely more than just a phone. It has been used as portable music player, Internet device, GPS system, eBook reader, credit card terminal, and many more. The fact that iPhone, both hardware and software wise, is a very flexible device is making developers and manufacturers more eager to develop different added solutions for the gadget.

If you think you cannot use your iPhone as a universal remote control, this article will prove you otherwise. Meet Re Remote Control Accessory, an optional accessory created by New Kinetix for iPhone — and of course iPod Touch — users. This particular accessory screams coolness and great features for sure.

The Re Remote Control can be attached to the base of the iPhone. Once you plugged the device, your screen will show buttons similar to those of universal remote controls. You can now use your iPhone to control other devices such as your BluRay player or LCD TV instantly.

You can use the available extensive built-in IR Code database or use the device to learn new IR codes of existing remote controls. Since Re Remote Control can learn new codes, the possibilities are endless. As long as the hardware you want to control with Re Remote Control use IR-based remote control, you can easily make your iPhone learn the code in an instant.

Re Remote Control is probably the ultimate universal remote control solution. New Kinetix will be releasing this device at the upcoming CES 2010, so be prepared for future updates.

HTPC — or Home Theater Personal Computer — is getting more and more popular. With additional devices and large LCD TVs now have streaming features, the use of HTPC can be quite vital. It is basically a personal computer, just like an ordinary desktop PC, but created in smaller form and nicer case design to fit your living room perfectly. The one thing that has always been a problem with HTPCs is the lack of reliable multimedia remote controls. The price of quality remote control is too expensive, while cheaper ones don’t really offer all the needed features.

Understanding this particular problem, Lenovo releases their latest multimedia remote control. The Lenovo Multimedia Remote with Keyboard is definitely the gadget you need to control HTPC and make Windows-based living room entertainment so much better. The remote control is becoming everyone’s favorite real fast, with a lot of amazing features built into the small device.

This palm-sized device can be used to control the operations of your HTPC. It uses AA batteries to power its operations, so you wouldn’t have to worry about power source at all. The track ball on the lower part of the remote control can be used to control mouse-based operations, while the keypad on the upper side can be used easily to type things or control multimedia operations. You can find a USB Nano dongle inside the package, allowing the device to operate using 2.4GHz radio frequency smoothly. Amazing features and only $59.99 on its price tag? Definitely the gadget you should get.

Sony is really serious about plunging into the market of DSLRs. After several Alpha series DSLRs and accompanying lenses being released, Sony is not showing any sign of stopping just yet. The latest Sony Alpha A450 is the new DSLR on the block, ready to rock this particular market segment with a lot of great features.

The A450 has a 14.2-megapixel sensor with BIONZ processor. It is definitely one of the best sensor and image processor offered by Sony so far, with superb capabilities in processing vivid and crisp images and lowering noise levels. You can use ISO 12800 and still get amazing pictures easily with this new sensor and image processor.

The 2.7-inch LCD screen may not be special in terms of size, but the quality of LCD used in Sony Alpha A450 is breathtaking for sure. You can also use the viewfinder, capable of covering 95% field of view, to compose and make the shots when it counts. Sony is increasing the development pace, since a lot of new features are also introduced in the A450 including the latest Auto HDR mode.

To make this product complete, Sony adds other features such as an anti-shake corrector, Memory Stick and SD card slots for storage options, and a battery life of up to 1,050 shots between charges. Thinking to buy your next DSLR? The A450 is one great option you should really consider. You will have to be a bit patient though, since this camera is expected to be available on February 2010.
